What do you think of our asset management strategy?
NPH have recently been working on a new Asset Management Strategy and we’re asking our tenants to let us know what they think about our plans.
It’s really important to us that customers can review the Strategy before it is formalised so we can take into consideration their feedback. If you are an NPH tenant and are interested in taking a look at the draft strategy, you can find the document here. Once you have read through the Strategy, head to this short survey and let us know what you think.
Not sure what ‘asset management’ means? Carry on reading for a summary of all the ways asset management meets the needs of our customers.
What is asset management?
‘Asset Management’ is the term used to describe the range of activities we need in place to repair, maintain, and invest in all our homes to reflect changing policy and practice, modern standards, and the evolving needs of tenants.
Whilst asset management includes repairs and maintenance, it is about much more than this. It includes updating, improving, and investing in properties and estates so they provide homes we can be proud of.
Our Strategy therefore includes a wide range of work and activities such as:
- maintaining safe and healthy homes
- tackling climate change by reducing carbon emissions
- modernising and regenerating our properties and estates
- placing a focus on the needs of tenants
Our Asset Management Strategy
NPH manage homes on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council. The Asset Management Strategy is a key document that sets out the roadmap for how NPH will deliver our asset management objectives and for residents to have clarity on what they can expect from NPH.
The Strategy sets out a clear model for ensuring we have the right type of properties to accommodate the changing needs of our residents and potential residents. The Strategy also considers:
- whether those properties are in the right areas and communities
- whether the properties able to withstand changes (not just within family units, but other changes in an individuals circumstance, such as health developments)
- whether the right services and investments are being provided so all our homes are in line with the Decent Homes Standard
The NPH Asset Management Strategy is key to supporting our customers and we would love to hear from as many of our residents as possible. If, after having reviewed the above summary about what asset management is, you would like to share your thoughts on our plans, please read the Strategy and complete the short survey afterwards. We really value your opinion.
